OK, this one is hardly a tour de force of woodworking prowess; however, it gets the job done. I think I read about this somewhere on the web. It looked pretty interesting, so I whipped one up. In operation, a shot of the Binaca breath spray (in refreshing wintergreen!) is directed into the film canister, which is then affixed to the lid. The black button is the mechanism from a piezo lighter which is connected to the two exposed wires extending into the film can. Pressing the button forms a nice arc between the wires that ignites the fuel and causes the bottom of the film canister to launch with a loud bang. The range is about 25' - plenty for indoor fun. And the bang is satisfyingly loud. And of course there is the refreshing smell of Wintergreen in the aftermath of the shot.
