Christmas cards that don't fold are becoming more common, and I wanted some way to display them on the same surface where our conventional folding cards sit, so I made a series of holders. The first was just a simple straight slot in a piece of Walnut, but the card tends to flop over unless it is pretty short. The next version had three separate slots with the center one offset to put a bend in the card. That worked well, but seemed like a bit too much work to make. The last one was a block cut in a curve, with a filler piece of wood to form the slot. That one works pretty well too.
