This vessel was turned on the lathe until it had nice thin sides (about 1/8" thickness) and was then
modified by adding holes and sanding the edges smooth.
The wood for this vessel came from a branch formerly associated with an Ornamantal Crab tree in the back yard. The limb parted company with the tree back in 2004 and this piece has been seasoning (read: taking up space in the basement) since then.
