Multimeter Stand
This is a stand I made to hold a multimeter for use at work. With small meters, you can either set them flat on the bench so you have to bend over to read them, or you can lean them against something where the smallest tug on the leads cause them to slide down and lay flat on the bench, where you have to bend over to read them. Our handyman of the time had built a number of holders out of old discarded plastic power-supply cases and MDF. While admirable for their innovative use of discarded material, they could not be accused of being attractive. So, lured by the practicality but repelled by the aesthetics, I decided to make this one up using Purpleheart. With some rubber feet on the bottom, it seems to work just as well as the plastic/MDF versions.
