This breadboard (or perhaps cutting board or maybe charcuterie board depending on one's preferred activity/food) was made for a nephew who liked the brick design. The "bricks" are purpleheart separated with maple "mortar" and since purpleheart is a pretty heavy wood and the board is upwards of an inch thick, it has a pretty substantial heft.
The board consists of 191 pieces but fortunately its regularity led to being able to take some assembly shortcuts so I was able to make it out of only 38 pieces, which made it reasonably simple to
construct. The shape is a totally conventional rectangle, but hey - it's "brick".
