Case - Tool
I have a set of tools that gets used for changing between summer and winter tires on the car and years ago I modified an old plastic case to hold them all. However I recently upgraded by replacing the powered tools with cordless models and needed a new case.

The old case is about 16" wide so the 28"-long torque wrench sticks out the bottom. While this works fine, it looks rather odd so I thought it would be nice to have a case that was long enough for everything. That meant it needed to be 28" long by maybe 12" wide and 4" thick. Unsurprisingly my on-line searches turned up nothing in the precise or even approximate size so that gave me an excuse to build a custom case (from wood of course!).

I chose 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood for the sides, and then more for aesthetics than anything opted for a frame so I could give the case rounded corners. Standard metal hardware for latches and hinges keep things together, high density foam keeps things in place inside and a folding plywood handle is used for carrying.
