Garage Door

In the spring we had our old wooden overhead door on the garage replaced with a steel version which means I'll never have to paint it again! I've actually only done that a couple times but neither was a joyful experience. At any rate we opted for the "Contemporary Wood Grain Finish in Cedar" and my plan was to put a matching finish on the person door (which by the way means I'll never have to paint it again either!).

There was no option for ordering a matching-finish residential door from the garage door people so I had to DIY. Or is it DIM in the first person? At any rate that involved ordering an extra overhead door panel, cutting it up and skinning it to get the appropriate fascia pieces which were then glued to the current wooden person door.

I took the opportunity to do a bit of concrete repair and door frame freshening at the same time so the entire process took about three weeks but I'm pretty satisfied with the result.
