This was another "What to do with the leftovers?" project, this time from the
Maple Vessel I made a while ago. That construction resulted in a leftover pile of roundish maple pieces all 0.4" thick cut out from the center of that vessel's layers - couldn't throw those away!.
Obviously whatever I made was going to be laminated and I stuck with a turned vessel since I was on a bit of a roll with those. This one uses a variation of the slice & fill technique used on my last vessel, but instead of a thin "fill" layer it used a wedge-shaped section. Meanwhile the maple layers alternate with thin walnut layers to help emphasize the shape. As usual the
